About Free Balanced Dog Training

FreeBalancedDogTraining.org is a free, community-driven education platform built by dog owners and trainers who believe that quality training knowledge should be accessible to everyone — not locked behind expensive courses or gatekept by credentials.

Our Mission

We exist to help dog owners build calm, confident, and well-behaved dogs through balanced training methods. Our community creates, reviews, and maintains an ever-growing curriculum that covers everything from foundational obedience to advanced off-leash reliability.

What We Believe

We believe in balanced training — using the full spectrum of communication tools available to us, including positive reinforcement, leash pressure, prong collars, and e-collars. When used correctly and humanely, these tools allow dogs to understand expectations clearly and give owners the ability to provide fair, consistent guidance.

We also believe in community. Every lesson on this platform is contributed by real dog owners and trainers who have walked the same path you are on now. If you have knowledge to share, we welcome your contributions.

How It Works

Our structured curriculum is organized into modules and weekly progressions. You can work through lessons at your own pace, track your progress, and connect with other members of the community along the way. No account is required to access lessons — but creating one lets you track your progress and participate in community features.

The platform is sustained through non-intrusive advertising and voluntary donations from our community. We will never charge for access to our content.
